Mining Engineer

GEOGAMUT is looking for 2 Mining Engineers.

Qualified candidates must have at least 5 years of experience on a large scale mine, and should be able to translate this to medium scale mines in 2 West African countries.

Therefore, he or she must be ready to travel and lead a team for the development works as well as lead the full mining operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• ascertaining extraction risks in the mining process
• producing models or plans for mining sites
• planning and implementing extraction systems
• using appropriate computer applications to maximise planning and production
• monitoring and evaluating mine performance
• knowledgeable in Mine Call Factor and grade control
• ensuring that operations comply with health and safety requirements
• making sure that the equipment used is safe
• managing budgets
• training and supervising operations staff
• liaising with and advising managerial and technical staff
• analysing data
• keeping requisite records
• costing and organising supplies when need arises

Salary: Good and Negotiable
